Over and Out...

...if there were any who took my tip and backed Shane Warne to bag the last England wicket - then accept my romantic thinking but don't look to me for compensation! McGrath is an equally worthy man to have done that deed.

A loss by ten wickets. Heads hung low tonight. Capt'n Freddie - bless his young cotton socks - I trust he does not try to dissemble the magnitude of the defeat. There is no more 'getting better all the time' - it is as bad as ever it could be.

Comparisons have been made with 'the last time this happened' - five nil in Australia. The poignancy of that last whitewash is that England toured then with those few decent cricketers who had survived the carnage of WW1.

Time for bed and pray God no dreams tonight!
